XXII Scientific Meeting: “Transport in a changing world”
September 17th-18th, 2020
We are pleased to confirm that the XXII Conference of the Italian Society of Transport Economics and Logistics (SIET) (www.sietitalia.org) will be on the 17th and 18th September 2020. Given the particular circumstances this year, the conference is planned to take place online. The organizer will be the Directive Committee of SIET. The title of this year's Conference is “Transport in a changing world”. The aim of the Conference is to promote the academic debate and in-depth scientific interactions among researchers and experts on recent advances in the field of infrastructure and transport economics and, more generally, on networks economics. Theoretical and empirical papers are welcome on the topic of the Conference and on related issues, such as (not exhaustively): energy efficient and environmentally-friendly transport; transport policy from a micro and a macro-economic perspective; smart connected mobility and logistics; urban mobility; modal and intermodal competition; market structure; financing, pricing and regulation of infrastructures and services; investment analysis, pricing strategies, multilevel governance in transport; logistics; freight distribution & last mile delivery; maritime port and in-land port connections; innovation; internationalisation; ICT; impact of e-commerce for transport and logistics, network industries; mobility and tourism; cruise and nautical activities; land management; urban economics; specific transport sectors (maritime, aviation, rail), etc.
Given the peculiar circumstances this year, we also welcome proposals on the form the participants want to give to their online contribution and gratefully collect comments and suggestions.

We welcome this opportunity to maintain the interest for transportation research and to maintain the link between our members in the difficult time in which Italy and the world are navigating. While the organizational details of the conference will only be known at a later stage, the organizers will generally follow the principle of openness to all contents relevant to the field, good technical quality of the contributions. The fees for members will be maintained at a low level and adapted to cover only the costs necessary to insure the technical quality of the event. Details will be sent as soon as the number of participants will be known.
Abstracts
Please submit an extended abstract (2-4 pages or approximately 1000 words) at the following link: https://forms.gle/H8kiKuFrsR4uKdhZ8. The abstract should state clearly the research question, the methodology, the main (or expected) results and references. The abstracts will be refereed by a scientific committee.
